This book is well organized and well-written. I am a fan of these authors (501 French verbs). The book gives a category for English words then gives the appropriate French word. Although I llke the book, I am disappointed that the authors don't use IPA symbols for their pronunciation guide. To me, the use of IPA symbols is the only way to go. Also, the index is clumsy, to find the French word, you are referred back to a previous section showing that word. i would have liked a list of the French words in alphabetical order with definitions and IPA symbols. Of course, this would have made the book larger albeit more useful.. That being said, I think the authors did a great job helping us students to find the right French word for a given English word. I think the blue print is harder to read than a dark bold print. Overall, the authors accomplished their objectives very well. I think the book is a good purchase.
Well done, handy, and small enough to carry easily if you wish. Has all the words I would need to make my way in France
